Kids choose skin creams for mother's day

Anti-ageing skincare products have been flying off shelves ahead of mother's day, reports suggest.

While anti-ageing products might once have been seen as a slightly offensive gift, it seems women are growing increasingly keen to stave off the signs of ageing.

The vast majority - 86 per cent - of mothers told Boots researchers that they would not be offended if their children bought them an anti-ageing treatment for mother's day.

In fact, 15 per cent selected items that made them look younger as their number one desired gift, while a further 15 per cent said they wanted more time to pamper themselves.

Beauty expert Fiona Lakin said: "From their first day at school to their wedding day children cause worry for their mums, and it all adds to the number of wrinkles that appear over the years.

"This year children across the UK are helping their mums turn back the clock by giving them the most sought after anti-ageing creams for mother's day."

However, 46 per cent of mothers admitted they would feel embarrassed telling their children what they actually wanted.ADNFCR-1167-ID-18490648-ADNFCR
