Consumers can easily boost the health of their hair, skin and nails by taking supplements, an expert has claimed.
According to Susan Curtis, author of Looking Good and Feeling Younger, people usually notice a difference after just two to three weeks of taking beauty supplements and the expert recommends essential fatty acids, calcium and antioxidants as the key nutrients.
Ms Curtis told the Belfast Telegraph: "By ensuring that your body has the nutrients it needs, and including a few key herbs, oils and other remedies in your regular routine, you can quickly improve the quality of your skin, hair and nails.
"Supplements do not replace the need for plenty of water, a good balanced diet and regular exercise, but provide the key nutrients needed and guarantee adequate levels of the building blocks for healthy skin, hair and nails," she claimed.
The author also recommended moisturising and massaging on a regular basis, as this helps to hydrate and encourage healthy circulation of oxygen and nutrients.
